Our History
Registered Care Manager and Co-Owner Anthonia Ugwumba, utilises her vast experience and passion to deliver a home care service which exceeds all client expectations. Swifthand Care Services is a company you can trust and have confidence in to deliver expert care services for yourself or a loved one.
Following Care Quality Commission (CQC) registrations in September 2015, the Barnet Office started providing care services to communities in Barnet and Hertsmere local authority area.
Swifthand Care Services has quickly established a reputation amongst the local community and care professionals as the home care provider of choice.
We pride ourselves to have 98% client retention as a result of our excellent services.
Our Trusted Team
Our Care Team is carefully recruited and trained to the highest possible standards. All staff members are DBS checked to an enhanced level and are fully insured with public liability cover. Swifthand Care Services Care Assistants always wear a uniform and carry identification badges with photographic ID for added security and peace of mind.
Dr Gideon C Ugwumba
Co-Owner and Executive Director
Dr Ugwumba is both Co-Owner and Executive Director of Swifthand Care Services. An experienced professional within Social Care, Gideon has been working within the Healthcare industry in the last 21 years, working with vulnerable people, particularly the elderly, people with learning difficulties, mental health issues, Children with behavioural issues, Respite homes, and people with challenging behaviour. Qualified to a high level, Gideon has a Ph.D. in Economic Planning, a diploma in Social Care & Supported Housing Management, an NVQ Level 3 and 4 in Promoting Independence. He also has over 15 years of experience of working with and supporting those with mental health issues.

Anthonia Ugwumba
Co-Owner and Registered Care Manager
Anthonia Ugwumba is both Co-Owner and Registered Care Manager of Swifthand Care Services. An experienced, professional within Social Care, Anthonia has dedicated the last 22 years to working with vulnerable people, particularly the elderly and people with learning difficulties or mental health problems. Qualified to a high level, Anthonia has a degree in Health & Social Care, an NVQ Level 3 in Promoting Independence, a CMI certificate in First Line Management at Levels 2 and 3 and a Diploma in Social Care & Supported Housing Management. She also has over 14 years of experience of working with and supporting those with Dementia.

Home Care Assistants
Swifthand Care Services has a caring and compassionate team of trained carers. We currently have 50 well trained carers in our team. We truly believe that we are nothing without the commitment and hard work we get from our staff. At Swifthand Care, all our Care Workers are DBS checked, which means our Clients can have a peace of mind that they live in a safe home. we use a rigorous recruitment process to attract and keep good people with a caring and compassionate character with a passion to help people. However, we fully understand that in order to support our staff well, training and qualifications are important to enable them to deliver the best possible service. Our clients expect their Carers to be professionally trained to deal with all of the tasks required in their agreed Support Plan. Our Carers are dedicated, approachable and always ready to carry out their duties with smiling faces.
Care Coordinators / Supervisors
Swifthand Care Services have dedicated Care Coordinators, Field Supervisors and other office staff who are trained to the highest standard to deliver quality care advise. Our professional field Supervisors have hands-on approach and are always in the community working hand in hand with the Clients and care workers, to ensure that our clients are provided with the best possible services.

UKHCA helps organisations that provide social care, which may include nursing services, to people in their own homes, promoting high standards of care and providing representation with national and regional policy makers and regulators. The Association represents over two thousand members across the United Kingdom, in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Full access to legal advice is provided by UKHCA.
